Mere hours before the first PFL Africa event in 2026, PFL Pretoria, kicked off, the organization released some details about its second jaunt to the continent. For the first time in PFL history, the league will be traveling to Nigeria, posting up in Lagos at the Eko Convention Center on June 13 for the event that will be coined either PFL Nigeria or PFL Lagos. While only two fights have been revealed, the plan is for the opening round of the bantamweight and lightweight brackets to officially commence.

Headlining the fight card is a non-tournament tilt pitting local athlete Wasi Adeshina (10-3) against Spain’s Nacho Campos (7-2) at 145 pounds. The former carved his way through the 2025 PFL Africa tournament, debuting with the organization in August and picking up three victories in the span of four-plus months to take home the $100,000 check and a shot at greater heights. In the tournament, he tapped Jean-Jacques Lubaya, outworked Dwight Joseph across three rounds and forced the doctors to rescue Alain Majorique from a gargantuan cut in the finals.
Campos may not have as much experience in the confines of the PFL as his adversary, but he won when it mattered most. In his company return in March, Campos outhustled an overweight Mathys Duragrin to put himself on the radar of the PFL brass. His victory on PFL Madrid springboarded the Spaniard into a headlining opportunity in Africa, albeit as the unwelcome foreign adversary battling a proverbial hometown hero. This put a 2024 decision loss at the “Battle of the Giants” card to Ibragim Ibragimov in the rear-view mirror.
The other bout currently set for the billing is a lightweight tournament opener when Nigeria-based athlete Patrick Ocheme (8-1) faces “Bantu Warrior” Ayinda Octave (7-1). Both men sport exactly four knockouts on their respective ledgers, while their defeats have both been by knockout as well. Ocheme has won six straight—including a flying switch kick KO—with two of those in the PFL cage, and opponent Octave saw his unbeaten record come to a screeching halt at the hands of Shido Boris Esperanca last October.
PFL Lagos announced lineup:
Wasi Adeshina vs. Nacho Campos – featherweight
Patrick Ocheme vs. Ayinda Octave – lightweight opening round
