The former Bellator MMA champion suffered his second consecutive defeat on Saturday, falling to newcomer Jakub Wiklacz via split decision in a preliminary bantamweight bout at UFC 320 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Not only did Mix fall to 0-2 in the UFC, but he also suffered a badly swollen eye. The New York native is taking it in stride, sharing a photo of the damage on social media while also poking fun at himself. Mix entered the Las Vegas-based promotion on a seven-bout winning streak and was regarded as one of the top bantamweights in the world, regardless of promotion. That perception has shifted drastically with back-to-back losses to Mario Bautista and Wiklacz in the Octagon.
