It appears that the UFC White House card could be a celebration of more than one birthday.

While speaking to military personnel at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia, U.S. President Donald Trumph announced that the event will take place on June 14, 2026. The UFC White House card was already planned to help commemorate the 250th anniversary of American Independence Day, but that date also happens to be Trump’s 80th birthday.

While Trump had previously revealed that a UFC event would take place at the White House in 2026, a date had not been confirmed. There had initially been speculation that the fight card would be held on July 4 — a Saturday — before plans shifted to June. If the June 14 date holds up, it will be the rare UFC offering to take place on a Sunday.

UFC CEO Dana White, a close friend of Trump, has discussed some of the logistics of the event in recent weeks. White has speculated that less than 5,000 people will be able to attend live, while many more will be able to watch on large screens at a nearby park. Weigh-ins are expected to at the Lincoln Memorial and fan events could be held throughout Washington, D.C. — similar to International Fight Week in Las Vegas. The UFC CEO also estimated that it will cost in the neighborhood of $700,000 to repair the White House lawn following the event.

White: No Fights Done for UFC White House

While many details are beginning to be ironed out for the UFC White House card, White has been adamant that the fights themselves won’t be negotiated until next year. Though Conor McGregor recently declared that his his participation is a “done deal,” the UFC boss pumped the brakes on that statement at the UFC 320 post-fight press conference this past Saturday.

“We’re still talking about the production and how everything’s going to work at the White House,” White said. “We have not started negotiating any fights for the White House yet. That won’t even start until February.

“I made it clear, Conor wants to fight on that card and you can clearly see Conor is very fired up to fight on that card but nothing is done yet. No fights are being negotiated with the White House.”
