A clash between women’s bantamweight contenders has been added to the UFC Mexico City lineup.
The Las Vegas-based promotion recently announced that Macy Chiasson will square off against Ailin Perez on Feb. 28 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The event, which is also known as UFC Fight Night 268, is headlined by a flyweight showdown between Brandon Moreno and Asu Almabayev and airs on Paramount+.
Looking to Reverse Course
Chiasson will look to snap a two-bout skid against Perez. After falling to Ketlen Vieira in a featherweight pairing at UFC on ESPN 68 in May, Chiasson missed weight ahead of a UFC 320 tilt with Yana Santos, which she also lost via unanimous decision. “The Ultimate Fighter 28” winner is 8-5 during her promotional tenure overall.
Argentina’s Perez has been victorious in five consecutive bouts since losing her Octagon debut to Stephanie Egger in September 2022. Most recently, The Goat Shed Academy product earned a unanimous decision triumph over Karol Rosa at UFC 311 in January.
