Raoni Barcelos out of fight against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC event on Dec. 5

Another change has been made the upcoming UFC event on Dec. 5 with Brazilian prospect Raoni Barcelos forced out of his fight against Merab Dvalishvili.

Barcelos recently accepted the matchup after Cody Stamann pulled out of the fight against Dvalishvili. Unfortunately because Barcelos just recently competed in a three-round fight in early November, the Nevada State Athletic Commission would not medically clear him to compete again less than one month later.

Multiple sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Thursday after Dvalishvili initially revealed that Barcelos was being pulled from their fight. For now, Barcelos is targeting a January return to action.

As for Dvalishvili, he remains without a viable opponent for the Dec. 5 card with no word on a new replacement.

The Dec. 5 event is headlined by Jack Hermansson vs Kevin Holland in a five-round middleweight fight.
