Renato ‘Moicano,’ Darren Till Jovially Trade Barbs

Darren Till is taking funny digs at Renato Carneiro and his teammate, Gilbert Burns

Till recently folded fellow UFC veteran Luke Rockhold at a Misfits Boxing card. Burns and Carneiro made fun of Till’s looks while discussing the fight. While Burns said that Till looks older than his age, Carneiro said it’s probably due to the Englishman’s heavy accent.

“How old do you think Darren Till is?… He looks old right? I think he is 31-32, but he looks destroyed right?” Burns said. “He looks 40.”

Till responded by calling Burns a “crumpled up piece of paper” and claimed to speak better Portuguese than both the Brazilians.

“Please someone tell Gilbert Burns he looks like a crumpled up piece of paper and Renato can’t even string a sentence together,” Till wrote. “I speak better Portuguese than both of them guys. How embarrassing that the country they are from I am more from that country than them.”

’Moicano,’ Till Find Common Ground

Carneiro took the joke in good humor and agreed with Till on Burns’ looks.

“Yo mdfker spiting facts! Gilbert Burns looks like a crumpled up piece of paper,” Carneiro wrote.

Once a highly touted prospect, Till went 1-5 in the UFC since 2018 and parted ways with the promotion in 2023 while on a three-fight slump. “The Gorilla” has since transitioned to boxing, where he is 3-0. Meanwhile, Burns is on a four-fight skid and fresh off a stoppage loss against Michael Morales. While Burns has four fights left in his UFC contract, “Durinho” recently revealed that he would prefer fighting only twice more.
