Per the promotion on Thursday, its main card has been announced plus at least one additional pairing that could transform it into a six-fight main card. At heavyweight, a pair of top-10 athletes will come to blows as Waldo Cortes-Acosta (16-2) throws down with Derrick Lewis (29-12, 1 NC). The two will compete on Jan. 24 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of a non-pay-per-view numbered event.

Cortes-Acosta requested one final bout at the end of this year to make it six appearances in 2025, but the promotion did not have a place for him and booked him on the first of the year instead. The big man from the Dominican Republic elevated himself back into contention with crushing first-round knockouts of Ante Delija and Shamil Gaziev in November. Those two victories put a slow decision loss to Sergei Pavlovich in August in the rear-view mirror. “Salsa Boy” will likely end the year as one of the only fighters to lodge five walks to the Octagon, alongside Kevin Holland.
After a rough patch where he lost four of five fights by stoppage, Lewis has since righted the ship by putting Rodrigo Nascimento and Tallison Teixeira away in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Those two knockouts elevated his total to 16 as a UFC fighter, further padding his lead for the most in organizational history. Max Holloway remains the lone active fighter with more than 11.
