The key components of Rizin Fighting Federation 20 have been cleared for competition.
All fighters for the New Year’s Eve extravaganza made weight on Monday, including bantamweight headliners Kai Asakura (134.2) and Manel Kape (133.3). Asakura and Kape will vie for the 135-pound belt recently relinquished by the injured Kyoji Horiguchi.
Rizin 20 takes place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Japan and will also see Jiri Prochazka (205) defend the light heavyweight crown against C.B. Dollaway (204.5), while Ayaka Hamasaki (107.7) will meet Seo Hee Ham (107.8) in an atomweight championship clash.
Rizin 20 will also feature the finals of the lightweight grand prix, as Johnny Case (156.9) takes on Tofiq Musayev (156.9), and Patricky Freire (156.4) faces Luiz Gustavo Felix dos Santos (155.8).
