If Ronda Rousey ever does make a UFC comeback, there’s at least one venue where her return definitely won’t take place.

“I am not fighting at the White House,” Rousey said on The Lapsed Fan Podcast (transcription via MMAFighting.com). “I mean, after Mike Tyson being the biggest fight of the year [vs. Jake Paul], you never say never [on a return].

“But I ain’t fighting on the f—king White House.”

Rousey recently fueled speculation regarding a potential return when she posted a series of training videos on social media. The Hall of Famer hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since suffering a 48-second technical knockout loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30, 2016.

Rousey Takes Unique Stance on Fighting at Historic Event

As one-half of the first women’s bout in UFC history and one of the most popular fighters in the sport during her peak, Rousey would be an appealing name to add to the lineup for what is shaping up to be a highly-anticipated card. The Olympic judoka’s stance on the event is in sharp contrast to the likes of other luminaries such as Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, who have been relatively inactive in recent years but have been vocal in their desire to compete at the White House.

Rousey’s rational for avoiding the historic card is relatively simple.

“I got better s–t to do,” she said. “My kid needs pasta.”

Rousey, who shifted to World Wrestling Entertainment after her UFC exit, gave birth to her second daughter earlier this year and has been focused on raising a family with former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne. However, “Rowdy” has never officially announced her retirement from MMA.
