Sage Northcutt will compete in his home state when he faces Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night 126 in Austin.
The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the lightweight pairing on Thursday. UFC Fight Night 126 takes place at the Frank Erwin Center on Feb. 18 and also includes a heavyweight duel pitting Derrick Lewis against Marcin Tybura. The card is expected to air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
A native of Katy, Texas, Northcutt has gone 4-2 during his Octagon tenure. Most recently, the 21-year-old Team Alpha Male product earned a unanimous verdict over Michel Quinones at UFC Fight Night 120 on Nov. 11.
Gouti, meanwhile, halted a three-bout skid – and earned his first promotional triumph — with a first-round technical knockout of Andrew Holbrook at UFC Fight Night 115 on Sept. 2. The 30-year-old Frenchman is 12-3 over the course of his pro career.
