Sijara Eubanks and Bethe Correia will meet in a bantamweight bout at UFC’s upcoming event in Mexico City on Sept. 21, multiple sources told MMA Fighting. Combate first reported the news.
Eubanks (4-3) looks to get back on track after losing a decision to Aspen Ladd in May, dropping to 2-1 in the Octagon with wins coming against veterans Roxanne Modafferi and Lauren Murphy.
The 34-year-old talent made it to the TUF 26 flyweight final after scoring three wins in the reality show, but withdrew from the championship contest due to weight-cutting issues.
Correia (10-4-1) has won only once since challenging Ronda Rousey for the UFC bantamweight championship in 2015. “Pitbull”, who was unbeaten leading up the 135-pound title bout, has a decision win over Jessica Eye sandwiched between a draw with Marion Reneau and losses to Raquel Pennington, Holly Holm and Irene Aldana.
