Ryan Bader will make his Rizin debut on New Year’s Eve. | Bellator MMA
As usual, Rizin Fighting Federation is going big for its year-end extravaganza.
Earlier this week, the Japanese promotion announced that six title fights will be held during its traditional event on New Year’s Eve. The card, which is officially entitled Rizin “Shiwasu No Cho Tsuwamono Matsuri” will take place on Dec. 31 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The evening’s headliner is a featherweight title tilt between Rajabali Shaidullaev and Mikuru Asakura, while Roberto Satoshi de Souza will lock horns with Shunta Nomura for lightweight gold in the co-main event.
The card will also include some athletes who made their names in other promotions. At heavyweight, former Bellator two-division title holder Ryan Bader will make his Rizin debut against Alexander Soldatkin in a heavyweight championship clash, while former Bellator contender Danny Sabatello will face Naoki Inoue for the bantamweight strap.
Additionally, Seika Izawa will defend her atomweight crown against Rena Kuboa, and Hiromasa Ougikubo will meet Yuki Motoya for the flyweight belt.
