Things Got a Little Awkward During the UFC 224 Face-Offs (Video)

Ahead of Saturday’s event in Rio de Janeiro, the UFC 224 main card fighters squared off for cameras at Thursday’s media day in Brazil. 

UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes will square off against a friend in top contender Raquel Pennington in the main event, but while they get along well, fellow main card fighters Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Cooper couldn’t help but to be awkward around each other.

The UFC 224 co-main event features a pivotal middleweight bout between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Kelvin Gastelum, who are each trying to earn a title shot, while Vitor Belfort steps into his retirement bout on Saturday opposite fellow Brazilian and fellow former champion Lyoto Machida.

Also featured on the UFC 224 main card is a promising bantamweight bout between John Lineker and Brian Kelleher.
