No matter what the official scorecards read, the main event of UFC 215 was always going to be shrouded in controversy.
In the end, it was Amanda Nunes who emerged the victor, narrowly defeating Valentina Shevchenko via split decision in a back-and-forth contest on Saturday night. But while “The Lioness” retained her UFC women’s bantamweight title, the result was one that left the challenger enraged and split the fight community right down the middle, with some agreeing that Nunes deserved the nod and others vocally protesting what they believed to be a robbery of a decision.
See how the pros reacted to Nunes’ divisive victory below, plus the best of the rest from the UFC’s debut in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

3-2 Valentina Shevchenko. Could it be 4-1 each cage/ takedown in the 4th no punches thrown! #UFC215 #andnew
