This is the UFC 301 live blog for Michel Pereira vs. Ihor Potieria, a main card middleweight fight on Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro.
Pereira joined the UFC in 2019 as a welterweight, and while he had plenty of success, he also struggled mightily with the weight cut. Finally, last year, Pereira decided that enough was enough and made the move back up to 185 pounds, where he spent much of his career prior to the UFC. Success followed immediately, with two finishes in a combined two minutes and seven seconds. Now Pereira has a chance to show out on a pay-per-view card in his home country, and earn an even bigger opportunity down the line.
