UFC Abu Dhabi Weigh-in Results: All Fighters Make Weight

The Ultimate Fighting Championship‘s 12-fight return to the United Arab Emirates is now official after the UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-ins.

The main event of UFC on ABC 9 will see former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker take on exciting contender Reinier de Ridder. Both men successfully came in under the 186-pound limit for their five-round fight. All of the other fighters on the rest of the card also hit their marks, making for a clean weigh-in sheet.

This is a pivotal fight for Whittaker (26-8), who was last seen in the Octagon getting his jaw broken by Khamzat Chimaev last year. Prior to the setback, the Australian had put together dominant performances over Paulo Costa and Ikram Aliskerov. Now 34, “The Reaper” will be looking to show he has one final run left in him as he weighed 185.5 pounds for the headline bout.

Meanwhile, de Ridder (20-2) has been perfect since entering the promotion. 3-0 with wins over Bo Nickal, Kevin Holland and Gerald Meerschaert, “The Dutch Knight” has quickly become a contender. This is good news since the former One double champion is also 34 and is looking to make the most of his late entry into the UFC. De Ridder officially weighed 186 pounds on the dot for his first UFC main event.

UFC Abu Dhabi’s main card starts at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT and will air on ABC and ESPN+. Meanwhile, the prelims start at noon ET/9 a.m. PT on ESPN and ESPN+.
