Luque Looks to Rebound from June Defeat
Luque, who ranks No. 7 all-time in promotion history in finishes (14), is coming off a second-round submission loss to Kevin Holland at UFC 316 on June 7. “The Silent Assassin” has lost four of his last six Octagon appearances dating back to 2022. The Brazilian’s resume includes notable wins over the likes of Rafael dos Anjos, Michael Chiesa, Tyron Woodley, Mike Perry and Belal Muhammad.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ponzinibbio has suffered defeat in three of his last four outings. Most recently, the American Top Team representative fell to Daniel Rodriguez via third-round TKO at UFC Des Moines on May 3. After compiling a seven-fight win streak from 2015 to 2018, Ponzinibbio is just 3-6 in the Octagon since 2021.
