The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Saudia Arabia with 11 fights that are all official following the UFC Saudi Arabia weigh-ins.
This includes an intriguing main event featuring Israel Adesanya and Nassourdine Imavov. Both middleweight headliners successfully made weight for the five-round fight. As for the rest of the card, all fighters made weight with the exception of Lucas Alexander. The would-be featherweight came in 2.5 pounds over the limit for his fight against Bogdan Grad. Alexander will be fined a percentage of his purse as a result.
This marks the first non-pay-per-view headlining fight for Adesanya (24-4) since 2018. “The Last Stylebender” is coming off the first back-to-back defeats in his career as he lost the belt to Sean Strickland via unanimous decision and then submitted to a face crank by current titleholder Dricus Du Plessis. At 35, the Nigerian kickboxer stepped on the scale at 185 pounds on the dot.
Meanwhile, “The Sniper” is riding a three-fight winning streak. Imavov (15-4, 1 NC) has put together wins over contenders Brendan Allen, Jared Cannonier and Roman Dolidze. The French fighter will look to get the biggest victory of his career and vault into title contention with an impressive showing. The 29-year-old striker weighed 185 pounds for his fourth UFC main event.
UFC Saudi Arabia will air on ESPN+ in its entirety. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT, while the main card kicks off at noon ET/9 a.m. PT.
