UFC to Make First-Ever Visit to Raleigh, N.C., for Jan. 25 Event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will plant its flag in Raleigh, N.C., for the first time on Jan. 25.

The promotion announced the event on Monday. The card will take place at PNC Arena, which is home to the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and the North Carolina State Wolfpack basketball team. No fights were confirmed for the card. Tickets will go on sale Dec. 6.

The Las Vegas-based organization visited North Carolina on Jan. 27, 2018, when Ronaldo Souza defeated Derek Brunson in the UFC on Fox 27 headliner in Charlotte.

The upcoming card will go head-to-head with Bellator MMA, which has scheduled an event featuring a women’s featherweight title clash between Julia Budd and Cristiane Justino at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on the same day.
