The Ultimate Fighting Championship kicks off its March 2025 schedule with 10 fights emanating from the UFC Apex, which is two fewer than planned.

Headlining the UFC Vegas 103 event is a flyweight battle between Manel Kape and Asu Almabayev. Both men made weight for their first UFC headliner, which has potential title shot implications. However, the undercard wasn’t as professional as the women’s flyweight fight between Luana Carolina and Montana De La Rosa was scrapped after Carolina had weight management issues. Additionally, Lucas Almeida came in two pounds over the featherweight limit for his fight against Danny Silva. Almeida will be fined 20% of his purse as a result. Finally, the bantamweight bout pitting John Castaneda against Douglas Silva de Andrade was shifted to a 140-pound catchweight on Friday morning, only to be scratched when Silva de Andrade failed his medical exams.
Kape (20-7) has become a fan-favorite thanks in part due to his outspoken personality. “Starboy” is coming off a TKO victory over Bruno Silva and has won five of his last six fights. The lone defeat was a decision loss to Muhammad Mokaev, which featured more action before and after the fight than inside the cage. The 31-year-old officially stepped on the scale weighing 126 pounds on the dot.
Meanwhile, Almabayev (21-2) is undefeated since joining the promotion. 4-0 inside the Octagon, “Zulfikhar” has made an immediate impact with wins over Matheus Nicolau, Jose Johnson and Ode Osbourne. The Kazakhstani fighter weighed in at exactly 126 pounds prior to the biggest fight of his career.
UFC Vegas 103 will stream in its entirety on ESPN+ on Saturday. Prelims begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while the main card kicks off at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
