The Ultimate Fighting Championship awarded four fighters on the UFC Vegas 120 card a well-earned extra $100,000, including main event winner Quillan Salkilld.
The most obvious performance of the night bonus winner was Salkilld, who showed off impressive grappling in securing a rear-naked choke against Mateusz Gamrot. 13-1 as a pro, the Australian is a true contender at lightweight despite being just 26. The Lustro Combat Academy product now holds key wins over Gamrot, Beneil Dairush, Jamie Mullarkey and Nasrat Haqparast.
Meanwhile, the fight of the night bonus went to Diego Ferreira and Billy Quarantillo for their back-and-forth war. While Brazil’s Ferreira got his arm raised, Quarantillo’s late comeback secured the two men an extra $100,000. Both lightweight mainstays showed a ton of heart, so it’s a fitting reward for two battle-tested veterans.
Finally, Ty Cole Miller also received a performance bonus for his thrashing of Billy Goff. The 26-year-old showed he was levels above his opponent, who he dismantled with well-placed punches and finally put away at the beginning of Round 3. Miller (8-0, 1 NC) is now 2-0 inside the UFC and cemented himself as a welterweight prospect to watch.
