Amidst a flurry of fight announcements on Thursday by the UFC, the entire main card for UFC 324 has been filled out. The event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will go down on Jan. 24 with two belts sitting atop the billing. The promotion displayed the five-fight lineup, but also added a bantamweight scrap worthy of headlining a Fight Night event. Umar Nurmagomedov (19-1) will be paired against Deiveson Figueiredo (25-5-1) in a potential title eliminator.

After getting by Mario Bautista in October, the victorious Nurmagomedov called for another crack at champion Merab Dvalishvili. With “The Machine” defending his belt in the final pay-per-view event for the promotion—the new Paramount arrangement has the UFC leaving PPVs behind stateside—he was matched against the former flyweight king instead. Before losing to Dvalishvili in January, Nurmagomedov had won his first 18 fights as a pro, including six in the Octagon.
Picking up a split decision over Montel Jackson in October to remain in bantamweight contention, Figueiredo righted the ship after a pair of losses. “Daico” saw his renewed 135-pound campaign get off to a rousing start with three straight wins at his new weight, only for Petr Yan to stave him back after five rounds of combat. A subsequent appearance against Cory Sandhagen did not go his way when he suffered a knee injury likely as a result of Sandhagen’s early leglock attempt.
