Video: Yushin Okami suffers second-round TKO loss in ONE Championship debut

Yushin Okami’s ONE Championship debut was one he’ll likely want to forget.

The 47-fight veteran was competing in the ONE ring for the first time on Saturday at an event in Jakarta, Indonesia, and his night ended early when opponent Kiamran Abbasov finished him with strikes in the second round of their welterweight (185-pound) contest.

Abbasov dropped Okami with a right hand before finishing with ground-and-pound 70 seconds into round 2. The 25-year-old Kyrgyzstan native improved to 2-1 in ONE and 21-4 as a pro. The win keeps him in line to potentially challenge ONE welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam.

On the other side, Okami falls to 35-13 as a pro and has now lost three of his last four. This was the 37-year-old veteran’s first fight since his second stint with the UFC came to a close last December.
