Virna Jandiroba vs. Yan Xiaonan in the works for UFC 314

Virna Jandiroba and Yan Xiaonan have agreed to face off at UFC 314 for a chance to be next in line for the strawweight belt, MMA Fighting has confirmed following a report by Ag. Fight.

The April 12 pay-per-view card is expected to take place in Miami. The UFC is yet to announce its headlining attraction.

Jandiroba (21-3) was slated to face Tatiana Suarez in December, but was left without an opponent after the undefeated talent suffered an injury. The UFC later announced Suarez as the challenger for 115-pound champion Zhang Weili at UFC 312 on Feb. 8.

A former Invicta FC champion, Jandiroba is currently riding a four-fight winning streak over Amanda Lemos, Loopy Godinez, Marina Rodriguez and Angela Hill, boosting her octagon record to 7-3.

Xiaonan (19-4) challenged Zhang for UFC gold in April 2024 but lost via unanimous decision. She returned to action in November, handing Tabatha Ricci a decision loss.

The Chinese talent is now 3-1 in her past four matches, with victories over Mackenzie Dern, Jessica Andrade and Ricci, and is 9-3 overall since joining the promotion in 2017.
