Watch Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. engage in stoic first faceoff ahead June fight

Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. were all about business on Wednesday when the fighters came face-to-face for the first time ahead of their scheduled boxing match on June 28 in Anaheim, Calif.

The fighters exchanged a few harsh words for each other on stage but the animosity didn’t ratchet up too much for the customary staredown afterwards.

There was no pushing or shoving but instead Paul and Chavez stoically took stock of each other before they clash in a cruiserweight bout with the fight airing live on DAZN pay-per-view.

While Chavez isn’t quite the same fighter who won world championships in the past, he is definitely the most experienced opponent that Paul has faced during his boxing career.

With an 11-1 resume, Paul has numerous impressive wins over names like Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva but Chavez represents the biggest step up in competition when it comes to professional boxers with real in-ring experience.

Paul vs. Chavez headlines the card with former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm also just added to the event as she makes her return to boxing after signing with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
