The fans in Saudi Arabia expected a show from Tyson Fury on Wednesday, but they sure didn’t get the one they wanted.
Fury faces Oleksandr Usyk in a massive heavyweight championship rematch this Saturday, and ahead of the high-stakes matchup, the combatants took part in the event’s open workouts. After arriving in a boat, Fury entered the squared circle where a number of eager boxing fans were waiting.
Then, Fury didn’t work out. Check out the video below.
Fury then gave a post-workout interview to DAZN where he was asked a number of questions about different topics, but “The Gypsy King” kept the theme consistent — whether it made sense or not.
“A lot of pain,” Fury promised. “Smashing damage. A lot of hurt. Hurt. Serious hurt. A lot of damage.”
Fury looks to avenge his first career loss in May in his first meeting with Usyk. In a classic, Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion with a split decision victory.
