Former ONE champion Zebaztian Kadestam has finally booked his return to action with a fight against Isi Fitikefu at the upcoming ONE Fight Night 31 event on Friday, May 2 from Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand.
ONE officials confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
The new fight marks Kadestam’s first appearance in ONE Championship since he scored a devastating second-round knockout over former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic back in 2023. That knockout served as Kadestam’s third straight stoppage victory to put him back on track following a three-fight losing streak.
Since suffering his final loss back in 2021, Kadestam really turned things around with a trio of impressive performance including that finish over Soldic, who just recently returned to the win column himself with a stunning knockout over Dagi Arslanaliev in February and remains the last person to hand UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis a loss in his career.
Kadestam, who has been with ONE Championship since 2017 also fought names such as Ben Askren, Tyler McGuire and Murad Ramazanov during his career with the promotion.
As for Fitikefu, he makes his fourth appearance in ONE after going 2-1 through his first three fights with the organization. Most recently, he dispatched Hiroyuki Tetsuka back in 2024.
ONE Fight Night 31 airs on Amazon Prime in the United States and also features prominent Brazilian jiu-jitsu stylist Tye Ruotolo in a featured grappling match on the card.
