MMA Fighting has Zhilei Zhang vs. Joe Joyce 2 live round-by-round updates for the highly-anticipated heavyweight rematch, which takes place Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London.
The main event is expected to begin around 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Zhilei Zhang is the WBO interim heavyweight champion. A 40-year-old native of China, Zhang scored the biggest win of his career this past April when he captured the interim belt with a sixth-round knockout of Joyce. Zhang has finished 20 of his 25 professional wins.
Joe Joyce is an Olympic silver medalist who was building himself into a legitimate heavyweight contender before he lost to Zhang in stunning fashion. A 38-year-old Englishman, Joyce was a perfect 15-0 with 14 knockouts as a pro before his loss to Zhang.
This 12-round contest is for Zhang’s WBO interim heavyweight title.

Round 1: Joyce immediately starts circling away from Zhang’s power left hand. Zhang fires one into the body. They continue to circle in the middle of the ring. Both fighters just jabbing from distance. Zhang flicks another left to the body. There’s a straight right from Joyce. Plenty of feints with few significant punches in this round so far.
