“Launched in July 2025, this criminal investigation revealed that the Toronto area was being used as a supply source and that the drugs were then being resold at a higher price in Greater Montreal,” read a statement from Montreal police.

Garcia went 5-5 over the course of a UFC tenure that began in 2013 and ended in 2018. The Tristar Gym-trained fighter known as “The Dominican Nightmare” earned notable victories over the likes of Mike Swick, Mike Pyle and Muslim Salikhov while competing in the promotion’s welterweight division. He last fought in March 2020, falling to Abdul-Rahman Dzhanaev via second-round TKO at ACA 105. Garcia, who made his pro debut in 2009, owns a 15-8 career mark.
