It appears that Alex Pereira is unlikely to fight at the UFC White House event in 2026.

In a post on his Instagram account on Monday, “Poatan” seemed to rule out participating on the highly-anticipated card. The UFC light heavyweight champion had previously stated that he wanted to face Jon Jones in a heavyweight superfight at the White House.

“Looks like the White House is a NO GO!!!” Pereira wrote on Instagram, captioning a photo of himself and UFC CEO Dana White.

Nothing Official

The UFC White House card is expected to take place on June 14, according to a recent announcement by President Donald Trump. However, neither the date nor any bouts have been officially confirmed by the Las Vegas-based promotion. White has indicated that matchmaking for the event won’t begin in earnest until next year. However, the UFC boss has shot down the idea of Jones competing on the card on more than one occasion.

The 38-year-old Pereira is a two-division champion and arguably one of the UFC’s biggest current stars. “Poatan” is 6-1 since moving to 205 pounds and recently regained the light heavyweight belt when he defeated Magomed Ankalaev via technical knockout in 80 seconds at UFC 320 on October. 4. With the White House off the table, Pereira did not mention any potential dates for his Octagon return.
