Andrea Lee vs. Kalindra Faria slated for UFC 216

“KGB” is headed to the UFC.

LFA flyweight champion Andrea Lee will make her Octagon debut next weekend at UFC 216 on Oct. 7, MMA Fighting has learned. Lee will meet Kalindra Faria in a 125-pound bout.

It’s unclear at this time where the fight will be placed on the card, though it’s possible it will replace the now-canceled Paige VanZant vs. Jessica Eye on the pay-per-view main card.

Lee (8-2), considered one of the best flyweight fighters in the world, successfully defended her LFA title last Friday when she defeated Jamie Thornton via submission. The 28-year-old, whose nickname is “KGB,” has won her last four fights in a row.

Faria (18-5-1) will also be making her promotional debut. The Titan FC bantamweight champion won the title earlier this month when she defeated Carina Damm via decision. She has won three fights in a row.

UFC 216, set for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, will be co-headlined by Tony Ferguson vs. Kevin Lee for the interim lightweight title and Demetrious Johnson vs. Ray Borg for the flyweight title.
