HYPE Fighting CEO, Armand Martirosyan, recently revealed plans for a grappling match between Tsarukyan and Hardy. Hardy was offered to grapple with Tsarukyan at HYPE Fighting this past December in Armenia. However, the Hollywood star had to decline the offer due to filming commitments.

Tsarukyan has now confirmed that he was offered the matchup against Hardy. While it didn’t come to fruition, Tsarukyan hopes to grapple with Hardy in the future.
“I got that offer but he couldn’t come because he was filming something,” Tsarukyan told Helen Yee. “Maybe in the future, why not.”
Tsarukyan eventually battled UFC middleweight Sharabutdin Magomedov to a draw at HYPE Fighting in Armenia. “Ahalkalakets” has been exceptionally active in wrestling competitions when he is not fighting in the UFC. Tsarukyan defeated four-time All-American Lance Palmer 10-0 at RAF wrestling on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Hardy has been earning his own accolades in combat sports. The BJJ blue belt earned double gold in the ReOrg jiu jitsu competition in 2022.
