Tsarukyan’s father, Nairi Tsarukyan, was not born wealthy. The family moved from Georgia to Russia in search of better opportunities when Arman was 3 years old. The UFC lightweight revealed that his family had nothing when they initially moved to Russia. However, Tsarukyan’s father worked hard in the construction business to achieve the success that they have today. “Ahalkalakets” is grateful to his father for always supporting him, including the decision to pursue MMA. Tsarukyan is glad to belong to a successful family, as it lets him focus on training.

“When I was three years old, my family moved to Russia because of lifestyle,” Tsarukyan told ESPN. “They had hard lifestyle in the village in Georgia. They didn’t have opportunities. My father is a hard worker. He is a family man. When my father moved to Russia, he started working in construction. He became successful from nothing, from the bottom. They didn’t even have a spoon when they moved to Russia. My father always supports me. When I was 17, I said, ‘I want to be a MMA fighter.’ He said, ‘Yes, do it.’ Family’s success gave me the opportunity to just train. I just have to focus on my sport and that’s all.”

‘Pissed Off’ By Privilege
Tsarukyan (22-3) is scheduled to headline UFC Qatar against Dan Hooker on Saturday at the ABHA Arena in Doha. Hooker (24-12) has a problem with the privilege Tsarukyan has enjoyed in his life.
“Me and Arman Tsarukyan just come from two different places,” Hooker said. “Looks like he wipes his ass with $100 bills. I’m out here slaving away, mowing my own f—-ing lawns… Maybe that pisses me off.”
However, Tsarukyan is unfazed by Hooker’s trash talk, which he believes stems from jealousy.
“When Hooker attacks the success of my family, it doesn’t bother me,” Tsarukyan said. “He’s jealous because I have everything and he has nothing. Trash talk doesn’t motivate me. UFC belt motivates me.”
Dan Hooker takes a shot at Arman, and Arman fires back saying Hooker is just jealous of his wealth 😬👀
