Tsarukyan faced Georgia Poullas in the co-main event at RAF 6 last weekend. Tsarukyan repeatedly accused the social media wrestling star of using dirty tactics. While the referee penalized Poullas on points, he wasn’t disqualified. Tsarukyan eventually defeated Poullas and punched him, leading to a massive brawl.

Tsarukyan was not only disappointed with the refereeing in his fight, but also with the judges. “Ahalkalakets” says the judges did a terrible job throughout the night, especially in the matchup between Mahamedkhabib “Kadik” Kadzimahamedau and Evan Wick. A four-time Division I All-American, Wick defeated the Belarusian Olympic silver medalist via tech fall (13-2). Tsarukyan accuses the judges of awarding Wick points unfairly.
“Maybe 20 times he was trying to poke my eyes, break my fingers, and I showed it to the referee, the referee shouldn’t do that,” Tsarukyan said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.” “And by the way, the judges were so bad for that day. Not just my wrestling but the other [matches] too… Especially when it was Kadik wrestling with [Evan Wick], the points were coming from nowhere. They got to fix that.”
A Street Fight Over Wrestling
While RAF is reportedly trying to book a rematch between Tsarukyan and Poullas, the UFC lightweight is not interested. Tsarukyan would rather fight Poullas on the street. However, Tsarukyan believes Poullas will never agree as he knows he will be knocked out in seconds.
“No. If they want to do a rematch, we just got to fight on the street,” Tsarukyan said. “Even better than rematch. I don’t want to fight in freestyle wrestling. If you want to fight, we can fight anywhere. He can come to Newport, we can fight in the sand on the beach. But he will never do that because he knows I need one second to knock him out.”
