Arman Tsarukyan Wants UFC to Cut Paddy Pimblett After UFC 324

Animosity aside, Arman Tsarukyan thinks Paddy Pimblett is a terrible fighter.

Pimblett (23-4) fought Justin Gaethje (27-5) for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324 last weekend in Las Vegas. Gaethje unleashed a brutal beating on Pimblett for five rounds to earn a unanimous decision victory. To Pimblett’s credit, he showed immense grit in refusing to go out despite taking Gaethje’s hardest shots.

Tsarukyan (23-3), who doesn’t think very highly of Pimblett, wants the UFC to cut “The Baddy” after UFC 324. Tsarukyan believes the Liverpudlian will be left with lasting brain damage from the beating he suffered against Gaethje. Tsarukyan emphasizes that he honestly thinks Pimblett is a terrible fighter, and not because of their beef. “Ahalkalakets” claims he would choose at will whether to knock out or choke out Pimblett if they ever fought.

‘So Bad for His Brain’

“He needs to take a break for five to six years after that fight,” Tsarukyan said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.” “He got dropped like 15 times. So bad for his brain. He was stupid; now he’s going to be even crazier after this fight. I would like the UFC to cut him out. Bulls—t guy, worst UFC fighter… This trash can is 0 fighter. Not because I hate him. It’s real. If you give me Paddy, I think during the fight I will decide what I should do – knock him out or choke him out.”

As punishment for pulling out of a title fight against Islam Makhachev last year, Tsarukyan has repeatedly been sidelined from the title picture. Ilia Topuria won the vacant title against Charles Oliveira after Makhachev moved up to welterweight. While Tsarukyan started rallying for a title shot against Topuria, “El Matador” expressed interest in fighting Pimblett instead. This led to the beef between Pimblett and Tsarukyan, who believes “The Baddy” has Dana White privilege.
