The first UFC Apex event of 2026 will feature two of the promotion’s top bantamweight talents.
Mario Bautista will square off against Vinicius Oliveira in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card on Feb. 7 in Las Vegas. Ag.Fight was first to report the pairing, and it has since been confirmed by multiple outlets. The event will air on Paramount+.
A Career Milestone
Bautista will get his first headlining gig in his 14th Octagon appearance. The 32-year-old MMA Lab product had an eight-bout winning streak snapped in his last outing, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 321 on Oct. 25. Bautista owns notable victories against the likes of Patrick Mix, Jose Aldo and Ricky Simon, among others.
Oliveira, meanwhile, has kicked off his promotional tenure with four consecutive triumphs after earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. The 30-year-old Brazilian went 2-0 in 2025, earning unanimous decision triumphs over Said Nurmagomedov and Kyler Phillips.
