The promotion announced the middleweight booking during Dana White’s Contender Series on Tuesday. UFC Boston takes place at TD Garden on Oct. 18 and will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Chris Weidman and Dominick Reyes.
Allen will make a quick turnaround after submitting Aaron Jeffery on Season 3, Episode 4 of the Contender Series on July 16. The 23-year-old previously competed in Legacy Fighting Alliance and has fought current UFC talents like Trevin Giles, Eryk Anders and Anthony Hernandez.
Spicely returned to the Octagon at UFC Greenville in June and earned “Fight of the Night” honors in a decision loss to Deron Winn. Before that, he picked up two knockout wins in CES after getting released by the Las Vegas-based promotion following an initial 2-4 stint.
