Cage Warriors Reschedules Upcoming Events in Birmingham, Belfast

Cage Warriors has elected to reschedule two upcoming events as a result of new government measures in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The European promotion announced Wednesday that an April 18 event slated for Birmingham Arena in Birmingham, England, has been moved to Oct. 10, while a May 16 card set for SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland, will now take place on Sept. 26.

“We would like to apologize to fans who were looking forward to these events and thank them for their continued support, but April and May will have to be rescheduled,” Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan said. “We are still coming to showcase your hometown fighters but a bit later than we would have liked.

“More widely, we would like to assure the MMA community that as soon as the situation in Europe improves, we’ll be putting fights on at the first given opportunity.”

Tickets for Cage Warriors 114 and Cage Warriors 115 will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, according to a release.

Boylan’s organization held one of the last MMA events in the world last Friday, when Cage Warriors 113 took place behind closed doors at Manchester BEC Arena in Manchester, England for a card headlined by a clash between imported UFC talents Bartosz Fabinski and Darren Stewart. Fabinski defeated Stewart via unanimous decision.
