Call Out: Aljamain Sterling Asks Former UFC 135-Pound King Dominick Cruz to Pick a Date

If Aljamain Sterling has his way, he’ll be back in the Octagon sooner than later.

The 28-year-old is coming off a solid performance last weekend at UFC Fight Night 128, where he took home a unanimous decision against former Cage Warriors and Titan Fighting Championships bantamweight champion Brett Johns. After a 12-0 start to his career, Sterling has now gone 3-3 with a unanimous decision over former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao.

The bantamweight contender has already focused on another former champion of his division: Dominick Cruz. Sterling called out Cruz immediately following his last bout, but on Thursday he took another shot at “The Dominator” on social media after calling himself “the best grappler in the division.”

The former two-time UFC bantamweight champion has been a spectator since his defeat against Cody Garbrandt at UFC 207. He was supposed to face Jimmie Rivera at UFC 219; however, a broken arm forced him to pull out of the card.
