Card Nearly Finalized for PFL World Tournament 9 in Charlotte on Aug. 15

The lineup is just about complete for Professional Fighters League’s championship event on Aug. 15.

PFL World Tournament 9 takes place at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carollina, and is headlined by a lightweight tournament final pitting Gadzhi Rabadanov against Alfie Davis. In the co-main event, Marcirley Alves will face Justin Wetzell in a bantamweight championship bout. The third tournament final on the main card will see Liz Carmouche square off against Jena Bishop at 125 pounds. Rounding out the main card is a lightweight showcase bout between Mads Burnell and Robert Watley.

Five contests were also confirmed for the preliminary portion of the card: Juliana Velasquez vs. Ekaterina Shakalova at flyweight; Biaggio Ali Walsh vs. TBD at lightweight; Sabrina de Sousa vs. Saray Orozco at flyweight; Renat Khavalov vs. Vilson Ndregjoni at bantamweight and Chelsea Hackett vs. Ashley Thiner at flyweight.

The PFL Tournament 9 main card airs on ESPN and ESPN+ at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, while prelims stream on ESPN+ at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
