Conor McGregor lauded both Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev on their UFC 320 clash.
Pereira looked to reclaim his light heavyweight title against Ankalaev in the main event at UFC 320 on Saturday in Las Vegas. “Poatan” walked Ankalaev down from the opening bell and took hardly over a minute to drop him and finish him with elbows.

While McGregor congratulated Pereira on the victory, he also paid his regards to Ankalaev for accepting the rematch.
“Congrats Pereira on recovering the rematch. Skill. Will. Determination,” McGregor wrote. “Congrats Ankalaev on having the courage to rematch. Guts. Balls. Honor. 1-1 now.”

McGregor Still Targeting White House for UFC Return
Pereira won and defended the light heavyweight title thrice within a year before losing to Ankalaev via unanimous decision at UFC 313 this past March. Ankalaev’s loss to Pereira in his first title defense marked the end of a 14-fight unbeaten streak since his only other career loss in his UFC debut in 2018.
Meanwhile, McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking a leg in a trilogy loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021. While the Irishman has long been teasing a return, it is yet to materialize. However, the former double champ vows to return at the UFC White House card planned for June 2026. While Dana White seems interested in the idea, the UFC head honcho recently clarified that nothing has been finalized.
