Dan Hooker on Paddy Pimblett Beef: ‘You Go Low, I Go Lower’

Dan Hooker believes his relationship with Paddy Pimblett is ruined too much to be mended.

Pimblett and Hooker recently crossed some lines while trading barbs online. “The Baddy” started it by saying Hooker couldn’t “grapple a rapist off his mom.” “The Hangman” responded by bringing up Pimblett’s late friend, Ricky, who took his own life.

Hooker recently explained his reaction to Pimblett’s comments. Hooker admits that Pimblett got under his skin by commenting about his mother. The Kiwi says he only returned the favor after Pimblett went below the belt. Hooker harbors a strong dislike for Pimblett and has no intention of squashing the beef.

‘There’s No Coming Back’

“F–k around and find out,” Hooker told Combat TV. “You want to take it there? There’s s–t you don’t talk about. He tried to get a reaction, and he f—ing got one. You go low, I go lower… You want to say some horrible s—t like that, I’m going to think of the most horrible s–t I can possibly – I’m going to bring that s–t up, too. He genuinely pissed me off. He genuinely got under my skin. He got a reaction. He wanted to piss me off, he pissed me off. And I wanted to say something, so the feeling is mutual. I want to kick your head in the next time I see you. Now you want to kick my head in back. Now the feeling is mutual. I’ve got no intention of making up. There’s no coming back from there.”

Pimblett (23-3) is scheduled to fight Justin Gaethje (26-5) for the interim lightweight at UFC 324 on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Hooker (24-13) takes on Benoit St. Denis (16-3) a week later at UFC 325 in Sydney, Australia.
