Bellator’s return to Ireland is coming together nicely with the addition of a pair of main card bouts.
The promotion revealed on Thursday that a matchup between former featherweight title challengers Daniel Weichel and Pedro Carvalho, and a middleweight bout between Charlie Ward and Norbert Novenyi are set for Bellator 270. The event takes place Nov. 5 at 3Arena in Dublin and will be headlined by a 135-pound battle between Patchy Mix and James Gallagher.
Weichel got back in the win column in his last appearance, picking up a split decision victory over the previously undefeated Keoni Diggs at Bellator 261 in June. Carvalho has been stopped in his last two appearances by Patricio Pitbull and Jay Jay Wilson as he seeks to pick up his first victory in over two years.
Ward joins several of his SBG teammates on the card as a winner of two straight and six out of seven, while Novenyi—a training partner of Michael Page—is 5-0 as a pro, which includes a submission win over Laid Zerhouni at Bellator 247 this past October.
