Derek Anderson Withdraws from Bellator London Main Event vs. Michael Page

Michael Page needs a new opponent in the Bellator London main event.

According to multiple reports, Page’s original foe, Derek Anderson, has withdrawn from the welterweight bout for undisclosed reasons. FanSided was first to bring word of Anderson’s exit. A replacement opponent for Page is currently being sought.

Bellator London takes place on Nov. 23 at SSE Arena and also includes a clash pitting Fabian Edwards against Mike Shipman.

Anderson is currently on a two-bout winning streak after taking decisions over Zak Bucia at Bellator 197 and Guilherme Vasconcelos at Bellator 229. “The Barbaric” has won four of his last five appearances within the California-based promotion.

Page rebounded from a second-round knockout loss to Douglas Lima in the welterweight grand prix when he dispatched Richard Kiely with a flying knee in the opening stanza at Bellator 227. Lima is the only man to defeat Page in 16 professional outings.
