Danis returned to combat sports on Aug. 30, when he claimed Misfits MMA gold with a 15-second submission of Warren Spencer in a bout contested under modified mixed martial arts rules. As a result, the fight is classified an exhibition according to the Sherdog.com database. It was Danis’ first MMA appearance since June 2019, when he armbarred Max Humphrey in the opening stanza at Bellator 222. Prior to that fight, Spencer only had boxing matches on his combat sports resume.
‘Pretty Boy’ Boasts Variety of Experience
Danis will face a more experienced foe in Taylor, whose 7-5 MMA mark includes five outings under the Bellator banner. “Pretty Boy” hasn’t fought in MMA since taking a majority decision over Chris Avila at Bellator 238 in January 2020. However, Taylor has been quite active on the boxing scene since then, with a number of pro and influencer exhibition bouts to his credit. Most recently, he suffered a sixth-round stoppage loss to Darren Till at a Misfits Boxing event this past January.
