Donald Trump: UFC White House Event to Have ‘Eight or Nine Championship Fights’

President Donald Trump recently made some big claims about the UFC White House card.

Earlier this year, Trump announced plans for a UFC event at the White House in 2026. While the official date for the event hasn’t been confirmed, Trump claims it’ll take place on June 14. Trump also claims that the card will have eight to nine title fights. According to Trump, his friend and UFC boss Dana White is currently holding back title fights so they can take place at the White House.

‘The Biggest Fights They’ve Ever Had’

“It’s gonna be June 14 next year. The great Dana White is building an arena,” Trump said at the 48th Kennedy Center Honors Gala. “And they’re gonna have eight or nine championship fights. The biggest fights they’ve ever had. Everyone’s a championship fight and everyone’s a legendary title fight. He is actually holding back fights right now for six months so he can do it [at the White House].”

With the UFC’s eight men’s weight classes and three women’s, almost every division will need a title fight for the card to live up to Trump’s claims. Since typical UFC main cards have five to six fights, some title fights will have to be shifted to the prelims if Trump is accurate.
