UFC 323 went down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday. Petr Yan dethroned Merab Dvalishvili to win the bantamweight title in the main event of the night. Meanwhile, Alexandre Pantoja lost his flyweight title to Joshua Van via an injury loss in the co-headliner.

Jedrzejczyk and Hill were also in attendance at the star-studded event. Recent footage has surfaced of the former UFC champions having a heated verbal exchange. Hill threatened to knock out Jedrzejczyk if she dared touch his partner. However, security intervened before things came to blows. Their brief exchange is as follows:
Hill: “Do not touch my girl or Ima knock you the f—- out.”
Joanna: “Yeah, you will?”
Hill: “Period!”
A Strong, Capable Woman
While the reason behind the beef remains unknown, some reports suggest that Jedrzejczyk was aggressive towards Hill’s partner and had to be restrained by security. While Jedrzejczyk vaguely addressed the issue, she did not delve into many details. The former UFC strawweight champion hinted that, as a strong and capable woman, she felt the need to stand up for those who couldn’t stand up for themselves.
“I worked so hard to earn my reputation, and I am embarrassed to be in this situation,” Jedrzejczyk said in a video on Instagram. “But when somebody uses my name, falsely, without any basis in truth, I will always stand up for myself, and for that I do not deserve to be threatened. I am mindful that I am a strong, capable woman who has the benefit of a lifetime of self defense training. I have a platform, and resources, that most women don’t have. So I empathize with the women who are disrespected and threatened, and lack the power and means to stand up for themselves.
“And to stand up for the truth. I expect more from each of us as individuals and as a society, and I certainly expect more from athletes in our sport—especially former champions. I want to thank the UFC security and staff for their professionalism. I consider this matter closed, and wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season!”
Jedrzejczyk (16-5) retired from the sport in 2022 after a loss to Zhang Weili following a two-year hiatus. Meanwhile, Hill (12-4) is on a three-fight slump and currently sidelined due to a knee surgery.
