Hector Lombard faces replacement David Mundell at BKFC 10 following Joe Riggs injury withdrawal

Hector Lombard has a new opponent for his BKFC debut.

The former UFC fighter was scheduled to face fellow MMA veteran Joe Riggs in the main event of BKFC 10 on Feb. 15 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., but the bare-knuckle boxing promotion announced Monday that Riggs has been forced to withdraw due to an injury. Lombard will now face replacement David Mundell instead.

The nature of Riggs’s injury was not disclosed.

Mundell owns a 10-5 record in MMA and has competed twice for BKFC, winning in both of those appearances by first-round knockout. The 28-year-old’s BKFC wins have come against Ronnie Forney and Drew Lipton. “Redneck” has fought in several notable MMA promotions including Bellator MMA, M-1 Global, Titan FC, and Cage Fury FC.

Lombard, 41, is making his BKFC debut after a UFC run that ended with six straight losses. A former Bellator middleweight champion, Lombard’s MMA record sits at 34-10-1 (2 NC).
