Invicta Fighting Championships returns to the historic Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City on Friday for Invicta FC 29. The eight-fight card is headlined by a bantamweight title battle between veteran Sarah Kaufman (19-4, 1 NC) and undefeated up-and-comer Katharina Lehner (7-0).
Both title fight athletes easily made weight. Two others on the Invicta FC 29 fight card did not.
Co-main event fighter Bianca Daimoni was well above the 136-pound limit for her bantamweight bout with Pannie Kianzad. Daimoni tipped the scale at 139.6 pounds.
Joining her in missing weight, albeit by a much slimmer margin, was Barbar Acioly, who was 0.3 pounds above the 126-pound limit for her flyweight bout opposite Pearl Gonzalez.
Daimoni and Acioly were fined 25-percent of their respective fight purses.
