Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul has landed in the World Boxing Association (WBA) rankings at cruiserweight (200 pounds), checking in at No. 14 in the latest poll. “The Problem Child” receives his ranking on the heels of a unanimous decision triumph against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, this past weekend.

The 28-year-old Paul owns a 12-1 professional mark, with victories over the likes of Mike Tyson, Mike Perry, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley (twice) to his credit. His lone career defeat came at the hands of Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Paul Wants to Face Legitimate Competition
While Paul has been criticized for facing competition that includes smaller opponents, retired MMA fighters, an ex-NBA star and a 58-year-old Tyson, he insisted after his latest triumph that he wants to face legitimate opponents. In addition to a rematch against Fury, Paul expressed interest in a future matchup against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
“…I like the challenge. That’s the criticism. ‘Fight someone in their prime who is a beast!’ I think people just want to see me lose. That’s really the message behind it all,” Paul said at Saturday’s post-fight press conference.
“Anthony Joshua is an insane fight, but I want that challenge. We’ve been DMing back and forth, he wants to make it happen, he called me up, and it’s looking very likely for next year.”
